WELL-PERFORMED pup Shing Lee is likely to start favourite to take out a heat of the Tasbred Bonus series over 461 metres at UBET Park Hobart tonight.
The Ted Medhurst-trained bitch, bred and owned by Debbie Cannan, has won three of her 15 starts along with five minor placings which gives her the best strike rate of the seven runners.
From box seven she should be able to find a forward spot and if she mirrors her recent form the daughter of Razldazl George-Emerald Lee should be too strong for her rivals.
Cooper’s Shadow has won two from 19 with six minor prizes and from box one he represents the main danger.
Medhurst and Cannan also have pups from a litter by Razldazl George from Fulande that are ready to debut and he first is Assembly that will start from box eight in this heat.
They also have Satin Style (Collision-Wongawilli Wala) engaged in box two and she too warrants respect.
Medhurst and reigning premier trainer Anthony Bullock each have three runners with the Robin Grubb-trained first starter Hello Diamond (Fabregas-Stylish Abbey) the odd one out that will start from box six.
The other heat also boasts seven runners of which most are siblings of entries in the first heat.
Grubb will load Kiss Me Victor into box six and he is a litter brother to Hello Diamond while Medhurst’s Satin Stylist is a sister to Satin Style and Stylish Image (box four) is a sister to Assembly and she will start from box four.
The first four home in each of the two heats will progress to next week’s final.
