IN-FORM youngster Silver Pierre is aiming at three wins in succession when the talented greyhound steps out in a juvenile event over 515 metres in Launceston tonight.
Silver Pierre (St Pierre-Tricky Voilet) won his juvenile at Devonport and followed up at his next start with a very impressive juvenile win in Hobart from box one.
He missed the start but rallied along the rails to find the lead and then demolished his rivals by powering up the home straight to win by over six lengths.
Tonight he steps from box three but he can’t afford to begin slowly as he has litter siblings Rip and Tear (2) and Touch of Venus (8) that have good early speed and the Gary Johnson-trained litter sisters Buckle Up Storm (5) and Buckle Up Tango (6) have shown ability and they too possess early speed.
Despicable Jimmy should start favourite to win the second race on the card, a grade five over 515 metres despite having to start from box seven.
Provided he begins well and gets clear racing room to the first turn he should be too strong for this field.
