IT was only a matter of time before Soul Sister joined her litter siblings and broke her maiden status.

She accomplished the feat in Hobart last Thursday night with a dashing display in a juvenile over 461 metres.

The Gary Fahey-trained youngster has been living in the shadow of her more successful siblings, in particular Bruny venture.

But now that this bitch has got the hang of what racing is all about she could go on and notch a stack of wins in the coming months.

At this latest assignment she began brilliantly from box six and had enough speed to cross to the rail and lead Yeah Right comfortably at the top turn.

She maintained her lead in the home straight and went on to defeat Yeah Right by almost three lengths with Enfield Mask doing his best work at the business end of the race to be a close-up third.

Soul Sister stopped the clock at 26.46 seconds with splits of 5.20 and 11.41.
