Lake Hylia (R7) for Invermay trainer Eileen Thomas will be hard to beat at today’s Devonport meeting. This daughter of Lochinvar Marlow has had the seventeen starts for only two wins but has raced well at her two runs back from a short spell and should be cherry ripe for this. With plenty of good early pace the yellow box should not worry her and she should be at juicy each way odds. Minnie Mogul also has pace while Heliski will give them a start but will be rattling home.
Quick Advance (R5) will benefit from a short spell and with the coveted rails box should continue his winning form. He has won two of his last three at this track all in this grade and a repeat run barring interference will figure prominently in the finish. Hello Benny will run a better race this week while Flash Innings after his last start all the way win will also be hard to catch.
Wee Fire (R6) continues to perform well for Richmond trainer Margaret Rossendell and looks a good quinella with kennelmate Lou James.
