QUADRELLA punters might be able to lighten their outlay at the Hobart meeting at Tattersall’s Park tonight with Star Cam (R8) a one-out proposition in the last leg (race eight).

This son of Bombastic Shiraz is in fine form on the spacious Hobart track and should lead or track Dilston Tinka early and f that eventuates he should be too strong for his rivals.
Sandy Pines (R3) for Loira trainer Paul Hili should finally return to the winners list over the middle distance trip over 599m (race 3) at Elwick tonight.

The daughter of Where’s Pedro has an ordinary strike rate of 4 wins from 64 starts along with 22 placings but meets a modest field and her last three runs over this trip have been strong including a fast finishing third to Volcano on Monday night in Launceston after finding plenty of early trouble.\

The wide draw will certainly suit her style of racing and she should get plenty of room in the early stages with her main opposition likely to come from Camdale Buddy.

Emerging star Yappin’ Jack (R7) showed his class a fortnight ago when winning in 26.07 and with a slow beginner on his inside, CanadianBay, he should roll to the front early and be very hard to catch.

Pre-post favourite Emerald Lee looks to be the hardest to beat while Got Beer Goggles can add value to the trifecta.

Best Bets: R5 No 6 Sober Moment, R7 No4 Yappin’ Jack, R8 No 6 Star Cam.
Best E/W: R1 No 6 Hellyeah Razor, R3 No 8 Sandy Pines, R10 No 8 Palooka.
