WESLEY VALE trainer Glenn Stevenson will take five of his team to the races at Spreyton on Sunday with the hope of returning home with at least one winner.

Stevenson regards his stable stalwart Jakcorijim as his best winning chance and the ghostly grey goes around in race three, the Wharf Hotel Wynyard Benchmark 82 Handicap over 1150 metres.

Jakcorijim is resuming from a short spell and if he performs as he usually does when fresh he looms as a genuine winning hope in the small field of six.

Stevenson starts the day with Rhiannons Gold in race one (1650m maiden/class 1) followed by Jakcorijim in race three at 1.13 pm.

He will saddle up Dollar Dan in race seven a BM72 handicap over 1650 metres and he is quietly confident about the gelding’s winning chances.

Stevenson ends the meeting with two runners in the last of eight in top weight Sir Joey and much underrated mare Royal Bluff.
