After a good 10-race programme last night another 10 races are being run this afternoon in Launceston but this batch could prove harder to find a winner.
Punters should get off to a good start in the opening race with the Ted Medhurst prepared Dark Warrior a wnnwer ofd his past five with his only query being the awkward box four draw.
Bagdad-based veteran trainer Barry Smith has the consistent Monahan Bully in race two over 600m and should be hard to beat as he is a very strong greyhound.
The feature event is the Invitation Stakes (Race 7) which sees the return of the Debbie Cannan trained Emerald Lee to Mowbray where she has won seven of her nine starts.
Although resuming from a two month spell her class should carry her through.
Sonorous is racing well for Margaret Rossendell but is rising sharply in grade. Penny’s Angel prepared by Terry Penny looks the likely leader and could prove hard to run down.
The value runner today is Costa in race five.
Trained at Rokeby by Ian Callinan, she broke through for a well deserved win last start in Hobart and warrants plenty of respect today.
