CONSTANT VELOCITY had her share of problems as a young horse that kept here away from the racetrack for almost two years but the patience shown by her owner Adrienne Morley-Brown is starting to pay big dividends.

At the UBET Racing Centre in Launceston last night Constant Velocity made it two wins in succession when she defied a tough run to score in a four-way photo-finish in a maiden/class one over 1600 metres.

Constant Velocity was backed in from $14 to start at $7.50 with fixed odds operators but paid an average of $11 on all totes.

The mare won her first race in Hobart two weeks ago after which trainer Mark Everett declared the mare would “knock up winning races”.

“We have had to be patient with this mare because she did a tendon at three and what was expected to be six months off ended up being almost two years,” Everett said.

“When she won her maiden over 1400 metres in Hobart I knew I had her where she needed to be and tonight she confirmed it,” he said.

The owner was ecstatic after last night’s win. Listen to what she had to say about Constant Velocity.
