SULTAN’S Swing’s winning run kept rolling in Hobart last night with an effortless victory in an invitation her fourth in succession.
The Debbie Cannan-trained bitch made the most of wearing the red vest to lead at the top turn and then left her rivals in her wake.
She powered home to score by almost four lengths from Buzzin’ with the winner’s kennel mate High Choice over three lengths astern.
Sultan’s Swing stopped the clock over the 461-metre trip at 26.20 with splits of 5.14 and 11.26.
The bitch has missed a place only three times in her career that boasts 15 wins and eight minor placings from 26 starts for closing in on $30,000 in stakes.
She was bred by her owner Barry Heawood who is no stranger to producing top class chasers.
Sultan’s Swing is by Big Daddy Cool from his former smart juvenile Prestige Girl that won 19 and notched as many minor placings from 68 starts for over $25,000 in stakes.
Sultan’s Swing has a personal best of 26.13 on the Hobart circuit which is probably not good enough to measure up i9n the Hobart Thousand in December but if she holds form no doubt Cannan will target the state’s only Group 1 as the bitch’s main target.
