LIGHTLY raced three-year-old filly Gee Gee Sun Valley scored an overdue win on her home track at Spreyton today.
The Dean and Trent Wells-trained filly showed her customary early speed to lead but she was quickly joined by first-starter Liberty Dance (Kim Moore) and they broke well clear of the remainder of the field.
Liberty Dance, prepared at Sheffield by Angela Brakey, looked set to forge to the lead at the top of the home straight but the favourite had other ideas and fought back and went on to defeat Liberty Dance by a long neck with another first-starter Quiet Wonder over three lengths away third.
Listen to what co-trained Dean Wells had to say about Gee Gee Sun Valley’s maiden win.
