SUPREME IT SEEMS delivered a bold front-running performance in his Easter Cup heat over 461 metres at UBET Park Hobart last night to secure a berth in next week’s final.
The Gary Fahey-trained dog was coming off a last at his previous outing in Hobart but once on the lure he gave nothing else a chance as he powered his way to a half-length win over Bunna Boy with Joffa’s Me Mate almost three lengths away third.
It was Supreme It Seems’ fourth win from six starts on the Hobart circuit and it was his ninth career win from 21 tries.
The winner stopped the clock at 26.01.
The remaining heat was taken out by Tricky Tales ($3.40) that came from well back to score from Long View Belle and race leader Knox And Rattles.
Knox And Rattles led into the home straight but Long View Belle loomed as the winner when she hit the front 50 metres out but so fast did Tricky Tales finish he hit the line a length clear of Long View Belle with Knox And Rattles 1-1/2 lengths astern.
Tricky Tales also covered the journey in 26.01.
The first four placegetters in each of the two Easter Cup heats progress to next week’s final.
