THOROUGHBRED mares that find form at this time of the year usually hold it and Tap It In from the Charlie Goggin and Luella Meaburn stable falls into that category.
Tap It In delivered a stellar performance to outgun her rivals in the class four handicap over 1200 metres at Tattersall’s Park in Hobart last Sunday.
It made it two wins in succession and her rider Stephen Maskiell heaped praise on the five-year-old daughter of Savoire Vivre-Titleist.
“This mare is flying and that was a brilliant win,” Maskiell said as he walked from the unsaddling enclosure.
Maskiell had Tap It In settled just beyond midfield and travelling sweetly to the home turn.
When he asked her to extend in the home straight she quickly out the end result beyond doubt and hit the line well clear of Lady Sherwood and Light Saver.
Tap It In was bred by Runnymede Stud Syndicate of which the manager is Lindy Goggin.
Her form throughout her career has been outstanding this her fourth win from only 10 starts with four minor placings helping her career stake earnings to almost $40,000.
Tap It In’s only failure was a last of 13 in June, after which she was sent for a spell.
