TASBREEDERS struck gold tonight with its 2012 Tasmanian Magic Millions Yearling Sale preview-cocktail party a big winner with buyers and vendors.

Over 150 attended the cocktail party-preview at the Inveresk Showground yearling sales complex.

Buyers from interstate and locally gathered at the complex to get a sneak preview of what is expected to be a boutique type sale with 115 lots to go under the hammer from 1pm tomorrow (Tuesday).

As well as the preview, Tasbreeders took the opportunity to induct one of its long-time members Graeme McCulloch as a life member.

McCulloch is a premiership-winning trainer and one of the state’s most successful Tasmanian thoroughbred breeders at his Grenville Stud at Whitemore where he has stood some of the most successful stallions to stand in the state.

The yearling sale will commence tomorrow at 1pm sharp and Tasbreeders is confident the average will be at least at last year’s level, given the quality that will be passed through the ring.
