TASMANIAN thoroughbred filly lake Sententia made it a hat trick of wins in Victoria when she delivered the goods in a $100,000 race at Moonee Valley last Friday night.

Lake Sententia (California Dane-Talk Of Egypt) was purchased for $30,000 at the 2011 Tasmanian Magic Millions Yearling Sale by prominent Victorian trainer Darren Weir who syndicated the filly.

Weir returned this year and bought her full sister for $24,000. Both fillies were sold at the sale by Brooklyn Park acting on behalf of the breeder Karl Thomas.

Lake Sententia will have her next outing in the Group 2 $300,000 Matriarch Stakes at Flemington on November 9.

Weir is likely to be back at next year’s Tasmanian yearling sale on February 14 at the Inveresk Sale-yard complex in Launceston.
