FOLLOWING two impressive wins in grade four events the Joan Nichols-trained Technology is poised to win the invitation race (Race 7) over 452 metres at Devonport today.

Technology triumphed in Hobart two starts back scoring at big odds in a grade four over 461 metres but he proved that was no fluke by following it up with a similar performance to win at Devonport five days later.

The rising three-year-old stopped the clock at 25.77 at his last start on the Devonport track and that would probably be good enough to win this race.

Sing The Song (5) has brilliant early speed when she is in the right mood and should that eventuate today then the Robert Grubb-trained bitch would be the one to run down.

Lashing Illusion has drawn fairly in box three which should allow her to get a nice trail into the race and being a powerful finisher should enhance her chances of winning.
