SOME of Victoria’s most prominent trainers will be at today’s 2015 Tasmanian Magic Millions Yearling Sale in Launceston with most eyes focuses on a close relation to star Tasmanian galloper The Cleaner.
Lot 44 is a colt by Savoire Vivre from Private Nip will be offered by Armidale Stud on behalf of its client Ian Creese who has had much success with the progeny from his broodmare Private Nip that is a daughter of The Cleaner’s dam Dash of Scotch.
The colt is a three-quarter brother to The Cleaner that took the nation by storm last season with his Group-winning efforts in Victoria that included winning the Dato Tan Chin Nam Stakes and the JRA Cup and a third in the Group 1 Emirates Stakes
The quality of this year’s draft suggests the average price could be up as much as 10 per cent on last year with 121 lots to be offered.
Other lots that have created a lot of interest include a relation to star three-year-old Admiral.
Lot 73 is a colt by Ladoni from Villawood that is an unraced full sister to Admiral’s dam Reunification.
Local sire Wordsmith that stands at Paul and Elizabeth Geard’s GG Horse Stud and that was responsible for siring four stakes winners in Hobart last week will be represented by two yearlings – Lot 43 a filly from Primrose Bay and Lot 45 a colt from Queen of Denmark.
