UNDERRATED dog Absolute Moral made it two wins in the space of four days when he led all the way to win a strong grade five event over 599 metres in Hobart last night.
The Mick Stringer-trained dog won in Launceston three nights earlier and in similar fashion over the 515-metre trip.
But this latest win was clearly the best.
After finding the lead and turning in front he was challenged strongly at the top of the straight and looked likely to be swamped 80 metres out.
But he kept finding and hit the line with a half-length to spare over the heavily-backed Franklin Bob ($5 into $2.90) with Uno Keysy a close-up third.
The son of Brett Lee-Come On Roxy made full use of the inside box in Launceston but punters believed carrying the blue vest might be too big an ask.
But one of the black dog’s biggest assets is his early speed which he produced last Thursday night.
Absolute Moral has had only three tries over the 599-metre trip for this latest win and a minor placing but Stringer predicted some time back that the dog had a future over the longer trips.
