THE Tasmanian Racing Club will play host to the annual Think Pink race day at Tattersall’s Park Elwick on Sunday for what has become one of the most popular events on the Tasmanian thoroughbred racing calendar.
The purpose of the event is to raise awareness of breast cancer and to raise funds for the National Breast Cancer Foundation with this year’s event supported by Tasmanian Life Magazine.
The nine-race program will boast strong racing that includes the Think Pink Cup to be run over 2100 metres.
Upstairs in the main grandstand an expected crowd of 400 will be entertained throughout the day.
The entertainment includes live auctions of some spectacular items along with door prizes, prizes for best dressed lass, lad, couple and best headwear categories judged by a team of mystery judges, major raffle, and stud fee auctions.
Luncheon tickets are selling quickly due to early bookings for this popular event.
For those who miss out on a table they are more than welcome to attend the day and enjoy the racing at the members and public bars on course.
