We head back down south for a good eight race program at Hobart. Last week’s Launceston was a competitive program in where we saw training doubles for Nathan Ford and Kate MacLeod and driving double to Mark Yole , Erin Holloway and Samuel Rawnsley. The other highlight was a great win in the Danbury Park Cup by The Majority.

RACE 1 :  6:18pm  SUTTER HANOVER PACE 2090M

This is a very competitive C1 to kick off the nights racing. OUR SPUNKY MONKEY (3) was resuming from a lengthy break when he was able to win impressively after doing a bit of work in the run. He draws much better here so is sure to take plenty of beating. I AM CAMELOT (13) is continuing to race well from poor draws. He draws out the back again so will be hoping to get the right trip into the race and can win if he does. SWEET KISSES (12) is having her first local run and brings handy Victorian form. She too will be looking to get a cart into the race and will be dangerous. ALPINION (4) battled away well at first run back from a break and has drawn better here so has to be kept safe. CEE CEE SAFARI (7) , ME MATE LES (9) , CHARLIE JAMES (10) and FLYLIKA HAWK (11) are all capable of running into a place.

TOP PICK : OUR SPUNKY MONKEY (3) is the hardest to beat.

RACE 2 : 6:53pm CHEATIN HEART PACE 2090M

This is for the C2 class pacers. IM FULL TILT (10) was super impressive winning at his latest start in very good time. He draws the second row but should get a good run through early and then put into the race and will take plenty of beating. OUR PERCIUS (4) continues to race well but generally finds one better and that may be the case here. He will push forward early and if can finds the pegs will take running down. XBOLT (12) has been racing ok so if was able to get the trip into the race can run a race at odds. UNION FORCE (9) has been good at his past couple of runs and draws to push through early so can run a race at odds. THE BADLANDS (2) is the query runner as is first up in the state off a good break so will pay to watch the market. SALOON IN SIGHT (1) draws to advantage so can sneak a place at huge odds. SCRUFFY JAKE (3) , RUSTY RED COMET (6) and STONER RAINBOW (8) are next best.

TOP PICK : IM FULL TILT (10) is clearly the one to beat.

RACE 3 : 7:23pm ROY ROE MEMORIAL PACE 1609M

This is a very good C3/C4 with plenty of chances. NO SPRING SECRETS (5) was a very talented three year old last season. He was sent up to Menangle for a campaign in where he acquitted himself well winning a race. He returns home and resumes here so is sure to take plenty of beating in this line up. MAJOR CALLUM (10) continues to race well but will need to step up again here from the back row over a mile but he can’t be written off. ONEMORELAUGH (11) is a handy sit sprinter who looks like he will get the run he likes here so will be very dangerous. HIGHVIEW CHRISTINA (1) has been working up to a win and gets the draw here so has to be kept very safe. SOO SPECIAL (9) is another horse racing very well and will settle handy so has to be included. CARDINAL ART (2) and JEAN BAPTISTE (8) can sneak a place at odds.

TOP PICK : NO SPRING SECRETS (5) if his right is clearly the hardest to beat.

RACE 4 : 7:50pm WAKEFIELD CLUB TASMANIA MARES PACE  2090M

This is a C1/C2 for the mares. KYLEASHA (8) looks very well placed as she draws to get a good run through here so will push forward early and if finds the breeze or the top can dictate the race from there so is the hardest to beat. RECKLESS ABANDON (2) has the speed to lead early and is racing well so will get every chance whether she holds up or take a sit so is a danger. LA FORCE (8) has been beaten as a favourite at her last two. She may go better driven with a sit so has to be include. LAUGHYAHEADOFF (5) was a good winner when resuming but will this a bit stronger so each way chance looks best. JUST LIKE ELLE (6) and PHAROAHS WRATH (7) have both been racing ok so with the right trips will be dangerous at odds. TERROR JONES (1) will get a cheap run on the pegs so can sneak a place. SWEET PEA JASPER (3) is a handy mare resuming but may just pay to watch this week.

TOP PICK : KYLEASHA (9) is the hardest to beat.

RACE 5 : 8:25pm MASTER BARRY PACE 2579M

This is heat one of the Hobart Pacing Cup. The handicaps have made this a very tough race to find the winner. JUKEBOX MUSIC (11) was very good winning his latest start off 30m but will find this a bit stronger but with the right trip will take holding out. REMEMBER JOE (1) was a big improver last time so if he ping away and lob on top he will take plenty of running down if he repeats his latest effort. SAAB QUALITY (10) is a claimer taking on the better class horses here but he has been racing well so with a safe beginning will be thereabouts. SOMETHING EYRE (9) returns from NSW. He hi having his first try behind the tapes so with a safe beginning he will be in the finish with the right trip. OUR CHAIN OF COMMAND (12) is an old veteran resuming who faces a formidable task of his back mark so place looks best. ANINCHOFHISLIFE (3) and RESURGENT SPIRIT (4) are both very handy types and have to be kept very safe at odds.

TOP PICK : REMEMBER JOE (1) if leads will be the hardest to beat.

RACE 6 : 9:00pm MINI TROTTERS PACE 1609M

This is a very tough race with not much exposed winning form. PERFECT PAIGE (8) resumed with a very brave effort when got run down in the concluding stages. The inside back row draw is a concern but if gets a crack at them will take holding out. BLACKJACKHANOVER (6) is a consistent type resuming who if right is more than capable of winning this so is a must include. BAD BOY HUGHIE (5) has showed ability in the past. He resumes here so will pay to watch the market as can win if produces best. Stablemates MY MATE NICK (3) and DEMONSTRATIVE (7) are both very capable of winning this with the right runs in transit. JETCRAFT (1) is the query as draws to advantage so would not surprise to see him improve sharply. MONARCO PLAYBOY (10) is next best.

TOP PICK : PERFECT PAIGE (8) look’s a good gamble.

RACE 7 : 9:30pm YOLE RACING STABLES PACE 2090M

We see the return of last season’s star juvenile HILLVIEW JAKE (8). He returns off a solid trial on Monday night in where he dashed home in 57 for his last half. He is the lone runner off the back row so will follow through well and then work his way to the top and then should win as he likes. KVITOVA LEIS (4) is a handy filly who will strip fitter for her first run back. She will be looking to get to the pegs first then look to hand up to the favourite which will enable her to run the quinella. POCKETS OF COURAGE (5) has run some handy races in his brief career to date. He has gate speed so he too may be looking to finds the pegs as well but either can run a place. WITCH MASTER (1) has been racing well and gets his chance to run another place from the pole.

TOP PICK : HILLVIEW JAKE (8) will be just too classy.

RACE 8 : 9:55pm UBET PACE 2090M

This will be a great class between some inform horses. FRANCO SHEFFIELD (4) has had a hiccup since his impressive last start win. He is well suited by the small field so is sure to take plenty of holding out despite might having to sit parked. FIOKI (2) is a very promising four year old who draws to advantage after a bit of a freshen up. He draws inside his main dangers so may just give him the nod. PHILTRA FELLA (6) proved that he is a very tough type after his last two wins. He will find this a bit stronger but will get a good trip so keep very safe. BRAVO CHARLIE (1) , PUNT ROAD DISCO (3) and COOL WHARTON (5) are all capable of running a drum at odds.

TOP PICK : FRANCO SHEFFIELD (4) will be the hardest to beat.
