ONE of the most popular harness racing stallions to stand in Tasmania in the past two decades, Time Stands Still, has returned to Tasmania for two seasons.
He will stand alongside Mountain Glory under the care of Sue and Hans Streit who manage Elderslie Horse Care and Spelling.
The stallion’s owners, Neville and Anthony Dawson, who live at Windsor near Sydney, originally expected only to cover their own mares but they were astonished by the number of people who were keen to locate the stallion’s whereabouts.
“The stallion’s owners were blown away with the number of enquiries from both mainlanders and Tasmanians who wanted to try and secure the stallion for their mares,” said Mrs Streit.
“So we are extremely grateful to the Dawsons as they were very happy to lease him back to Tassie due to his obvious popularity.”
“Time Stands Still has just arrived in the state and has settled in extremely well, proof of his great temperament,” she said.
Elderslie Horse Care is excited about offering Tasmania a second opportunity to carry on with this well-performed sire that has outstanding statistics.
Time Stands Still will stand for $1100 including GST and a $70 handling fee plus agistment if required.
