THE GREYHOUUND meeting at Tattersall’s Park in Hobart today is dedicated to heats of the Hobart Maiden Thousand series in which there are usually a couple of extra smart chasers making their debuts.

Brighton trainer Brendan Pursell has a first-starter in I’ve Got You going around in the opening heat and while this white and brindle pup by Swift Fancy has drawn awkwardly in box four she has shown a bit in trials and might be one of the first starters in this series to show up on debut.

The first two placegetters in each of the 12 heats along with the eight fastest thirds will progress to the semi-finals next Thursday night.
