VETERAN Tasmania trainer David Crosswell has always maintained the best bitch he ever trained was Hall of Fame inductee True Vintage.

But in Hobart last Thursday night Crosswell declared his 18-month-old pup She’s All Class has the potential to be better than his former kennel star.

She’s All Class began her racing career with a win in a heat of the Tasbred Maiden Series breaking 26 seconds on debut.

She won the final the following week and bettered her first time clocking 25.87 over the 452-metre trip.

Crosswell didn’t even bother taking her to Hobart for a trial before her most recent start.

She lined up in a juvenile at Tattersall’s Park in Hobart last Thursday night and from box three she put the end result beyond doubt by the time they reached the top turn.

Her time of 26.66 was pedestrian compared with what many smart youngsters have clocked in recent times but the track was off so no notice should be taken to her time over the 461-metre trip.

“I’ve had a lot of youngsters that have shown a bit before they raced but none have shown me as much as this bitch,” Crosswell said.

“I know it’s a big call saying she is as good if not better than True Vintage but I am adamant she will be better if she continues to improve as I expect she will in the next few months,” he said.

She’s All Class (Dyna Lachlan-It’s A She) is a half-sister to last week’s Tasmanian owned and trained Sydney Cup winner Bell Haven.

Crosswell said She’s All Class will be taken through her lower grades but he also is aiming her at the upcoming features races including the Breeders Classic at Devonport and the Gold Collar series in Launceston.

But he also isn’t discounting the Hobart Thousand.

“I brought her to Hobart without a look at the track and she’s won easily so if she improves as I think she will I am not saying the Hobart Thousand is beyond her,” Crosswell said.

She’s All Class is owned by Crosswell who reared the litter and had first pick.
