WELL bred three-year-old gelding Eternal Speed should only need to take his trial form from this week into the third race on the card at Spreyton today to notch his second career win.

Eternal Sped is top weight in the Veolia Environmental Solutions Class 2 Handicap over 1000 metres in which he was awarded the honor of top weight (59 kg) but will carry 57.5 kg courtesy of a claim for leading apprentice Ismal Toker.

The Nigel Schuuring-trained gelding won at his only start last preparation on the synthetic at Spreyton in maiden company and while he looks poorly handicapped as a class one horse and being a 3YO giving away weight to his older and more experienced opposition, he is the top rated horse in the small field of six.

The John Luttrell-trained Our Lucky Girl is the logical danger as she has been racing in good form with seconds at her past three starts and that she is the likely leader she will be looking the winner at some stage in the home straight

Our Lucky Girl will be ridden by apprentice Siggy Carr who makes the trip from South Australia for the day.

The first race on the eight-event card will start at 1.10 pm which is a minute later that first scheduled. The first four races on the program have been put back one minute due to rescheduling from Sky.
