BASED on winning times in the three heats of the Easter Purse in Hobart last Thursday night Tricky Voilet is likely to start a short-price favourite and win by as far as you can kick your hat.
Tricky Voilet wore the pink vest in her heat and had the race won by the time they reached the home turn.
The Keith Nichols-trained bitch was having her seventh start on the Hobart circuit and finally delivered the goods.
She hit the line 8-1/4 lengths clear of Moonlite Spice and Cortez Gold and stopped the clock at 26.27s that was not far off what the invitation graders produced in heats of the Easter Cup.
Tricky Voilet was clearly the fastest Purse heat winner with Whitney’s Rose clocking 26.77 in winning her heat and first-starter Hussey Stanley clocked 26.77 and never left the rails from start to post.
The first two placegetters and the two fastest thirds made it through to the final.
