THE Anthony Bullock-trained Trudels would only need to replicate her effort in Launceston on Monday night to be a top winning chance in the fifth race at Tattersall’s Park in Hobart tonight.
Trudels (Bit Chili-Troublesome Miss) flew the lids from box seven in a grade five event over 515 metres on Monday night to lead comfortably at the fist turn and went on to win by nine lengths.
She broke 30 seconds (29.96) and should she begin as well from the same box tonight he daughter of Bit Chili should be very hard to beat.
Winklea Rose (8), Buckle Up Omnin (2) and Real Impact (4) loom as the likely dangers.
The meeting boasts two heats of the Young Star Classic and with the scratching of rising star Bruny Venture in heat one (race 2) it has thrown the series wide open.
The first heat now looks a match between Izon destruction (3), Ireland’s Force (1) and Get It Right (8).
Heat two sees Star Chamber as the likely favourite courtesy of the box one draw but he will have strong opposition from last-start winner Rip and Tear that is a liter brother to Bruny Venture and the Rod Ransley-trained Tay’s Intention (4) was impressive in winning at Devonport last Tuesday week in a juvenile over 452 metres.
