BOLD VISTA, a first starter by super sire Carnage, gave trainer Brian Large plenty of reason to smile after the dog scored an impressive debut win in the Thetote.com.au Juvenile over 461 metres at Tattersall’s Park in Hobart last night.
Bold Vista made good use of the inside alley to hunt along the rails after a modest beginning and join the favourite Ice Krystals near the top turn.
But once in sight of the lure Bold Vista sped clear and had no trouble staving off determined bids from Ice Krystals and Taken By Storm in the home straight.
Bold Vista was heavily backed late on The TOTE, firming from 4.50 to 2.80 before easing slightly to pay $3.10 with Ice Krystals the favourite at $2.
Bold Vista is from Large’s broodbitch Tranquil Tide and this is her second litter.
