TALENTED two-year-old Grand Tycoon has given his owners plenty of cash to spend at next year’s Tasmanian Magic Millions Yearling sale courtesy of three impressive wins at Tattersall’s Park.
Grand Tycoon is now unbeaten from three starts and each time he was gone around he has collects bonuses that tally $28,000 which will be spent by he gelding’s owners Wendy and Charlie Langmaid at next year’s yearling sale in Launceston.
Grand Tycoon has earned two $5000 Magic Millions vouchers courtesy of him being a graduate of the Tasmanian Magic Millions sale and he owners have converted three $3000 Tasbred bonuses into $6000 vouchers for the sale from each win.
Owners have the option of taking the Tasbonus prize of $3000 or doubling it by replacing with Magic Millions Yearling sale vouchers, which the Langmaids have opted to do after each of the gelding’s wins.
Today rider Brendon McCoull allowed the Barry Campbell-trained youngster to settle second behind Comsuadi but when McCoull it the go button at he top of the straight the gelded son of Written Tycoon sped clear and had almost three lengths to spare over Triple Bee with Geegees Red Rock a close-up third.
