BAGDAD trainer Alison Walker should be spending a bit of time in the winner’s circle with her promising pup Lucky Day.

Lucky Day delivered a star quality performance to win a strong grade five event over 461 metres at Tattersall’s Park on Thursday night.

The dog began brilliantly from box four and had a two –length break over Premier Port heading into the top turn and when he hit the home straight he extended his margin and went on to hit the line over five lengths clear of Mo’s Dreamin and Ignatius Cain.

It was Lucky Day’s second win from five tries but his time of 26.29sec suggests he is improving with each outing and would only need to hold that form t be winning his juvenile at Devonport and Launceston before the end of the month.
