All eyes were on The Inevitable to open the program in Devonport on Sunday and on episode 32 of the Week in review podcast, Matt Reid thinks that win may have been a bit better than it originally looked.
Carrying 61kg, The Inevitable worked home with the fastest last 600m and 400m of the day for an overall time that was around 3.5 lengths off the 1350m track record. Matt says connections will rightfully think that run has them on track to return for the Newmarket on 1 December.
Later in the program Adam Trinder had a race-to-race double which has taken him to the top of the Premiership table, with a highly impressive 36% winning strike rate after the first month of the new season.
