All of the recent thoroughbred action in Tasmania has been in Launceston and on episode 10 of the Week in review, Matt Reid takes in all the races from Oaks and Cup day.
Things largely went as anticipated on Oaks day with the wins of Chequerboard and Turk Warrior but Matt has found a couple of FORMPLUS Black Bookers from the Brunton stable that both finished out of the placings that day.
The Ladbrokes Launceston Cup produced an upset result and a trifecta that returned a dividend of more than $30,000 for a single investment. What to make of the race? Matt does his best, explaining that it was a slow tempo that aided an end result that ultimately saw less than five lengths covering 11 of the 12 runners.
