Eight individual trainers shared the spoils in Devonport last Sunday which is where Matt Reid has focused on for episode 31 of the Week in review podcast.
Matt identified Rising Light as a Black Booker after his first-up run in Devonport and was rewarded on Sunday where the gelding was heavily-backed before delivering what Matt says was arguably the performance of the day.
Gee Gee Plane was expertly ridden by Troy Baker to deliver the first half of a double for the jockey and the horse’s third win in succession. The class one (1150m) was one of the more highly anticipated races of the day and it’s from that race Matt has found a new addition to the Black Book.
