Racing was in Hobart last Sunday for a good nine-race card. It was a day out for jockey Daniel Ganderton who rode a treble and leading Premiership trainer Scott Brunton continued his outstanding run in the south of the state with three winners of his own.
On the Week in review podcast, Matt Reid points out that it was another day to look for runners with proven form on the track, eight of the winners had at least placed on the redeveloped Hobart circuit previously, the lone exception being Tavisplash who was on debut.
Algernon was an impressive winner in the $50,000 Tasbred 3YO and we hear from trainer Imogen Miller who suggests that the $50,000 Autumn Classic on 16 May is his likely next start.
