races for his promising sprinter-miler Dream Flyer following the gelding’s impressive first-up win in Hobart today (Sunday).

Dream Flyer produced a powerful finish to score by over a length from Rave Night with relentless Pursuit about a length away third.

It was the gelding’s first outings since finishing down the track in the weight-for-age George Adams Tatt’s Plate (1600m) on Launceston Cup Day in February.

Dream Flyer was one of last season’s most consistent sprinters that contested most of the weight-for-age races during the AAMI Tasmanian Summer racing Carnival and was competitive in most.

The five-year-old has returned a more mature and settled galloper, evidenced by his first-up effort on Sunday.

Blacker has etched out a program that includes the upcoming weight-for-age thetote.com.au Stakes over 1200 metres under lights at The TOTE Racing Centre in Launceston on Wednesday week.
