LIGHTLY raced pup Willy Wag Tail would only need to mirror his effort when he won at Devonport last week to make it two wins in succession when he steps out in the opening race on the 11-event card at Tattersall’s Park in Hobart today.

Willy Wag Tail has drawn box one, as he did at Devonport, which should give him the edge over his rivals in the Boags Draught Division 1 Juvenile over 461 metres.

Provided he begins well he should have enough speed to hold the lead and if he shows the same strength as he did over 452 metres at Devonport the winner’s prize money should find its way into his owner-trainer’s wallet.

Willy Wag Tail is owned and trained by Peter Dalton at St Leonards.

The well bred dog by Cosmic Rumble from top-producing broodbitch Ricky’s Angel, has had only four starts for two wins and a minor placing.

His dangers appear to be last-start Devonport winner Roxy Rhythm, Dilston Fencer (8) fro the Neville Allison kennel and Ukulele Rocker (5) that has placed at his only two starts at Devonport in juvenile grade.

Today’s North-West Coast Greyhound Club meeting is being held in Hobart due to the Devonport venue being utilised for the Devonport Show.
