BRIGHTON trainer Gary White has declared his four-year-old mare Winay Wayna the best winning chance of the seven he’ll saddle up at Tattersall’s Park in Hobart on Sunday.
Winay Wayna will line up in the Midway Tavern Class 1 Handicap over 1600 metres and she will be ridden by apprentice Ronan Keogh who has recently returned to riding from injury enforced lay-off.
The four-year-old mare will be having her third run back from a spell and comes off an eye-catching third in a class two race over 1400m in Hobart behind Maximus Meridius two weeks ago.
White said the four-year-old’s trackwork this week has been outstanding and expects her to be very hard to beat if she takes that work into the race.
