WELL bred mare Tap It In makes her debut at Tapeta Park Spreyton today and should only need to take her trial form into the race to emerge triumphant.
Tap It In (Savoire Vivre-Titleist) won her trial in Hobart over Committo and Excellent Man with the two she beat subsequently producing excellent effort in their respective races.
Committo scored a brilliant win at The TOTE Racing Centre in Launceston on Cup Day (Wednesday) and Excellent Man produced an eye-catching run to finish second to Zach’s Monty on the same day.
Tap It In, prepared by Charlie Goggin and Luella Meaburn, showed speed in her latest trial on a heavy track so with rain falling at Spreyton this morning there will be plenty of give in the synthetic surface.
The four-year-old has drawn gate five in the field of six, courtesy of three scratchings, but with those scratchings she will jump from barrier three.
Sand Or Stars (5) and La Ruby (3) loom as the main dangers and Gee Gee Town Lady (23) also is not without a chance based on her minor placing three starts back.
The Tapeta Park track is rated a dead four and the rail is in the true position.
To watch Tap It In’s latest trial in Hobart on February 20 (Trial 30)
