Zorro’s Legacy’s (R3) first up win last week was very impressive and in tonight’s Easter Purse final at Elwick this son of Bombastic Shiraz looks very hard to beat again.

Trained at Mangalore by Ted Medhurst, he ran the quickest in the heats of 26.35 and if he can lead again from the cherry he should make it two from two.

Trackside Girl for Alison Walker ran the next best time in her heat while Canadian Bay will no doubt miss the start again but from the four he should be able to get a clear run early and has a big motor and must be included.

The Easter Plate Final (R8) looks tough for punters to sort out. Emerald Lee has won her last five including the Breeder’s at Launceston.

Zavance Man could be a Hobart specialist and has beaten Emerald Lee in the Maiden Thousand Final while pre-post favourite Black Nitro’s explosive run in his heat to record 25.86 would make him unbackable in any other graded race.

If a selection is to be found perhaps Zavance Man simply because of the draw. The Easter Cup (R6) has also a number of quality invitation performers with Lika Whisper, November Digger, New Recruit and Collyn Tiger all capable of winning without surprising. Tiny Tilly looking for a hat trick in the space of a week looks hard to beat in the first.

Best Bets: R1 No 3 Tiny Tilly, R3 No 1 Zorro’s Legacy, R10 No 1 Pippi’s Gold.

Best E/W: R4 No 8 Silver Strand, R5 No 2 Stylish Claud, R6 No 8 Collyn Tiger.
